Become a Global Alumni Volunteer
The Global Alumni Volunteer Program is your flexible pathway to connect, lead, and contribute to ANU. It’s one global framework that welcomes all alumni, whether you want to host a meet-up, mentor students, or champion ANU in your local community.
When multiple volunteers in the same area or with shared interests begin working together, they can establish an Alumni Network with ANU’s support. These Networks are simply groups of Global Alumni Volunteers who collaborate more formally to organise activities and strengthen connections in their region.
 
Why get involved?
The ANU Global Alumni Volunteer Program offers alumni a unique opportunity to reconnect with each other and the University. By being involved, you can enable lifelong engagement through strengthening the ANU alumni community across borders, and showcasing the values of leadership and service that define the ANU community. Alumni can participate by organising meet ups, mentoring students, and contributing expertise to help build a more compassionate, globally connected future.

How to get started?
If you’re passionate about bringing ANU alumni together – by location, profession or shared interest – you could play a key role as an ANU Global Alumni Volunteer.
Start by filling out the to let us know you're keen to get involved.
We'll work with you to explore your interests, time available, and goals as a volunteer (e.g. in person or online events, alumni interviews, mentoring, and more). The ANU Alumni team will also help you connect with alumni and support you with the tools you need to get started.  
 
From hosting a meet up, to sharing your alumni story or leading a local charitable initiative, we’re here to support you. Speak with the ANU Alumni team about your ideas on bringing alumni together in your area.
For events and advertised meet ups, please submit the at least six weeks before your planned date.
Be sure to capture the highlights of your event, from photos and attendance to feedback. 
 
Once we've been in touch to confirm the schedule, it's time to get the word out! Tell fellow alumni about your activity by posting it on social media, sending emails, or making a few calls. And we’re here to help with promotion to help amplify your initiative across the global ANU community.
