End of year shutdown
On Wednesday 24 December, the Student Hub and Student Central services will close when the University closes for the end of year shutdown. Services will reopen from 10am on Monday 5 January 2026.
University life is exciting and sometimes complex.
The Student Hub is your central place to get things sorted at ANU. We listen first, use your name and pronouns, and connect you with the right people so you can take the next step.
Whether you are enrolling in courses, sorting housing and finances, working out what to do when things do not go to plan, or making sense of ANU systems and processes, we are here to help.
Everyone is welcome. You are always welcome to bring a support person.
This is a space designed around you, so you can spend less time finding help and more time focusing on your ANU experience. Over time, more services will join the Student Hub so you can do even more in one visit.

Step-by-step guide to visiting the Student Hub
Step 1 - Before you arrive
Make sure you bring:
- Your Student ID card (or government-issued photo ID if replacing your Student ID card)
- Any documents related to your enquiry
- If you need IT support:
- your device and charger
- your phone for multi-factor authentication (MFA) codes
Step 2 - Check-in when you arrive
- Scan the QR code
This will open the Student Hub check-in form on your device. If you prefer, or you cannot use your own device, staff at the desk closest to the welcome point can check you in.
- Complete the check-in form.
The form will ask for your preferred name and a brief description of what you need help with. You can also tell us if you need any access adjustments, or if you would like a quieter call-out or a visual cue instead of your name being spoken.
- Find a seat or space in our waiting area.
When it is your turn, a staff member will come to the waiting area and use the name or option you provided on the form.
Please note: Last check-in each day is 15 minutes before closing time.
