Post implementation reviews 2024

15 Dec 2025

Last year, several important changes were implemented across our University. As part of our ongoing commitment to learning, improving and refining the way we work, we’re now inviting you to take part in a review of the changes implemented.

These reviews are designed to examine how effective the changes have been and to ensure continued alignment with our goals and values. Specifically, the review will consider:

  • whether the original objectives of each change have been achieved
  • the impact on staff workloads
  • effects on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment and overall workplace diversity
  • any shifts in casualisation
  • opportunities to improve processes in the future.

The scope and scale for post implementation reviews are tailored to reflect the nature and size of the changes made, however the aim is clear: to keep improving how we do things, together.
We recognise that a lot has happened since these changes were first introduced, with the pace of change continuing this year. That’s why, this review is an important chance to pause, reflect and ensure that we’re learning from our experience as planning continues.

To take part in this initial review, a survey is available to all staff, and we encourage you to share your insights. Thank you to everyone who continues to contribute ideas, feedback and energy to strengthening our institution. Your input will directly inform what comes next.

Our post-implementation reviews are not only considered best practice, they are also a key requirement under our Enterprise Agreement (Subclauses 70.19 and 70.20), ensuring that significant organisational changes are assessed for effectiveness, impact and alignment with intended outcomes.

Timeline and next steps:

Feedback will remain open until 11 February 2026. Once submissions close, responses will be analysed and relevant areas will engage directly with their teams to clarify themes and identify next steps.

Exact timeframes for reporting will depend on the volume and nature of feedback received. It is anticipated that the initial findings will be shared in late March and April, with more detailed updates to follow.

Feedback may inform broader institutional planning and, where appropriate, could include further external review processes. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
