International Careers In Focus

Description:

Positive employability outcomes depend largely on students’ accurate understanding of the world of work. With this in mind, ANU Careers & Employability, in partnership with the The China Liasion Office and ANU International Students’ Department, hosted the International Careers in Focus, a three-day event aimed at fostering career opportunities for international students.

The event was designed to connect international talent with a broad spectrum of career pathways, including international placements and full time, part time and casual opportunities. Featuring participation from organisations across diverse sectors such as finance and consulting, STEM, and healthcare, the event enriched student experiences and empowered them to better navigate the global and domestic employment landscape, particularly in their journey toward permanent residency.

Over the course of the event, international students engaged with industry leaders and professionals across 27 events both in-person and virtually, such as panels, presentations, networking sessions and a careers fair. It also served as a meaningful platform for organisations to demonstrate their support and commitment to international student employability.
